RM Automotive is owned by extremely unprofessional and unscrupulous individuals which are Mike and Reed. I had my transmission service done there and purchased an additional BG Lifetime Protection plan which they talked me into. The service needs to be done every 30,000 miles. I was informed by the Service Manager at Northridge Toyota that my Toyota Corolla had burnt and contaminated transmission fluid and it was ONLY 8,000 miles from the last time it was done at RM Automotive. Luckily, I remembered that I had purchased the BG protection plan or I would have had to pay for another transmission service again for $190.00. I then brought my car back to RM automotive to have them redo the transmission service per the protection plan. Mike was arrogant, insolent and argumentative toward me and didn't want to redo the service. He acted very disrespectful, rude and unprofessional to me and I was naturally very upset over this! I am currently now due for my Oil Change, and wanted to use a $25.00 gift card from them to use for it. Both Mike and Reed are refusing to service my car any longer and also refusing to refund to me the additional high price I paid for the BG Lifetime Protection Plan. Not every automotive facility including Northridge Toyota uses BG for their transmission service, therefore, I am being screwed because of their unwillingness to service my car any longer! Mike and Reed are obviously unethical and unscrupulous individuals. They did not want to take responsibility for the poor transmission service that they did on my car. They do not have good faith principles or integrity at all! I have reported them today to the BUREAU OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR, BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU and the Northridge Chamber of Commerce for their disgraceful dishonest behavior!
I'm sorry we couldn't see eye to eye during your time with us, Mona. As we explained to you, the BG protection plan was not through us, but through BG. So we are unable to refund a warranty that can be used at many other auto shops in the area. While we value you as a customer, I would encourage you to find another shop that you trust and are more comfortable doing business with.
