Northridge Auto Repair

RM Automotive is owned by extremely unprofessional and unscrupulous individuals which are Mike and Reed. I had my transmission service done there and purchased an additional BG Lifetime Protection plan which they talked me into. The service needs to be done every 30,000 miles. I was informed by the Service Manager at Northridge Toyota that my Toyota Corolla had burnt and contaminated transmission fluid and it was ONLY 8,000 miles from the last time it was done at RM Automotive. Luckily, I remembered that I had purchased the BG protection plan or I would have had to pay for another transmission service again for $190.00. I then brought my car back to RM automotive to have them redo the transmission service per the protection plan. Mike was arrogant, insolent and argumentative toward me and didn't want to redo the service. He acted very disrespectful, rude and unprofessional to me and I was naturally very upset over this! I am currently now due for my Oil Change, and wanted to use a $25.00 gift card from them to use for it. Both Mike and Reed are refusing to service my car any longer and also refusing to refund to me the additional high price I paid for the BG Lifetime Protection Plan. Not every automotive facility including Northridge Toyota uses BG for their transmission service, therefore, I am being screwed because of their unwillingness to service my car any longer! Mike and Reed are obviously unethical and unscrupulous individuals. They did not want to take responsibility for the poor transmission service that they did on my car. They do not have good faith principles or integrity at all! I have reported them today to the BUREAU OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR, BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU and the Northridge Chamber of Commerce for their disgraceful dishonest behavior!

I finally found a repair shop I love! I've been in the automotive industry over 11 years, recently was in an auto accident and had to find a good shop! Northridge Toyota failed me! Rich and Heidi are the most friendly, yet professional people! I told him I need my vehicle earlier then previously agreed in an E-mail at 3am. They had my vehicle dialed in, still performed all my requests, they where there to pick me up right away and did one of the best inspections I've ever had done- I was able to use their online coupon and will be a customer for life! Trust me. Call Rich and he will do right by you.The techs are nicer and I would say just as if not more qualified then the dealer. The prices are about half that at your local dealer as well!

I was first impressed when a close friend had a positive experience with his service. Out of curiosity and car trouble I decided to bring it in to the shop seeing that it has the mom and pop shop type atmosphere that is hard to find in today's current automotive industry. What I really appreciated was the fact that they were upfront on what it is I needed to get done and how much the cost of the repairs would be. I will definitely be coming back and refering a friend.

Once again, Mike, Reed, and Rich came thru big time... Not only did they locate my replacement door parts from the east coast somewhere, they had the new stuff in and working in under an hourI also got to pick Mikes brain about towing small SUV's, as he has done that numerous times. Great and very helpful information....

I had the wifey's odyysey serviced again for leaking power steering pump and valve adjustment and a few more things, they are not cheap , I would say the price is reasonable because of the quality of work they do. This place is convenient for me because it's close to my work. They don't upsell anything to you which I like, . Rich treats his clients with respect , he explained everything including the price , never in a condescending manner. I will recommend this shop to anybody. I will continue to bring my cars here for service , keep up the great work guys, quality and integrity is what comes to my mind with this shop, thank u for the cold soda and the ride back to work

I usually don't post reviews of any kind, but I am so pleased with the type of service that I received by RM automotive that I feel the need to share it with the community.I was new to the San Fernando Valley area and in need of a mechanic for my used Toyota Solara, after seeing the good reviews from yelp I decided to give it a try. All the positive reviews about this place are 100% accurate, this is a great business, with great mechanic practices, outstanding costumer service and a great deal of knowledge. Again, I would not normally write a review for a business on yelp unless that business had surpassed my expectations to the max, and RM automotive did.Their staff is very friendly, Rich at the main desk is very welcoming and knowledgeable, they are quick at fitting you into their busy schedule and they have a no pressure-no hassle way of presenting you the facts and alternatives about the problems on your car before they do any work or commit yourself to the repair. I loved the fact that they explained to me what items on my vehicle where the most urgent, which ones could wait a bit longer, and which ones shouldn't be a worry for now.This shop is not the cheapest, I agree. But Professionalism does not come cheap. These guys really know what they are doing, they have the experience and an interest on your behalf for the better life of your vehicle. And because of that alone they gained my trust and my business. Some of the really good extra features of this place are having very clean facilities, been very very quick in doing their job, offering a shuttle service to and from your home (free of charge=AWESOME) , and having a great waiting lobby with free refreshments and cool magazines (awesome too).I would truly recommend them to anyone, Best !
