I have terrible luck with repair shops, so every time I end up at a new one I have this irrational fear it's all going to go wrong.I noticed my brakes started feeling funny about 4 days before a 400+ mile trip I had to take. I called RM in the morning and they were able to take my car in right away. They called about 11am informing me of the repairs that were needed (namely - master cylinder replacement and flush the brakes among some other service items). I was told the repair would take 3-4 hours and they would give me a call when things were ready. Well, the end of the day rolled around - still hadn't heard anything (and I needed my car that day) so around 4:30p I called to check on it. After Rich (I think) went to check on it, I was told they might have to keep the car overnight because they were having trouble flushing the system (this is where my irrational fear starts to creep up). Thankfully he went out and put in his expertise and called about 45 minutes later to tell me I could pick my car up. The brakes felt great on my drive and I have gone about 2000 miles since the incident without any fault. So overall, I am very pleased with the service. I did not feel pressured into any additional services nor did they perform any repairs without my prior approval. My only note is that I would have preferred a phone call when they suspected they were going to have to keep the car over night (rather than me having to call right before the business day ended). (It's really hard for me to give a 5-star review after one experience for car shops so for now it's a 4 - for me it's the repeat experiences -- but I will happily return to them for my auto-needs without hesitation - and for me that is a big deal!)

I recently bought my mom's old car and wanted it looked over. As usual, RM was very thorough in examining the car and explaining what repairs were needed. The repairs they performed have already made a big difference in the way the car drives. Thanks as always!

My experience with RM Automotive was great! Very nice people and my car runs so well. The staff did not treat me like a dumb girl and explained everything to me that they were doing to my car. They also answered all of my questions, with patience and understanding. I am very happy with RM Automotive and the service I received.

This review is an update on what I think of RM automotive after a couple of months have passed since my first review/visit.RM automotive is one of the best auto shops with a reasonable price and friendly staff around. I'm able to talk to Rich about my car and he genuinely listens which doesn't happen very often as a female. He tells me what needs to be done or doesn't need to be done without any pressure. I know my car is taken care of when I drop it off. The price is cheaper than the dealership (as previously mentioned) and you don't feel like they are cheating you.RM automotive will be my permanent auto shop.

My positive experience supports those of other customers. They are honest and Fair, in my recent experience. My 1996 Camry sedan had a "Check Engine" light (Aug4.2013) that coded for an Igniter problem, and the engine simply shut off intermittently during coasting, six times in one day --- but any of FIVE components could have caused that code. They had my car in their shop hooked up to a testing instrument array that takes 45 minutes just to attach the leads, and they also drove the car for 20 min to try to duplicate the problem. Three days of testing but no charge since they could not reproduce the problem. Otherwise it would have cost about $640. No Charge!. The rental loaner was also no charge. I had used them just once before, also with free loaner.The average garage would probably have replaced one or some of those five expensive components, hit-or-miss, and charged me $$ or $$$, probably without correcting the problem. I'll be observing the car now while driving to see if there is some quirk of actions needed to elicit the problem, or if it even still occurs, and will take it back to them if I find a way to reliably reproduce the problem. The rental car was a big help, the repairs done to my vehicle seem to make it drive better. the car feels really good on the road, my brakes seem to stop better due to fluid change. car feels safer on the road. My hats off to you great mechanics, my car seems to have been fixed right the first time, the way it should be.
