This is an update on my previous review from yesterday. I had given a disappointing review regarding the price of replacing my alternator and belt. They originally quoted it as being $600something but with the AAA $570. I was told it was the same part Toyota uses and b/c they guaranteed a 24 month warranty, hence the high price. However, being my car has 180K miles on it, I'm not looking to invest Toyota dealership prices into it. I ended up going somewhere else but I will say that the owner Mike called me apologizing regarding my experience and was concerned. Mike and Rich were both very friendly, concerned and interested in improving customer satisfaction. Mike offered to refund me the $38 fee I was charged to verify it was in fact the alternator as I suspected. I do appreciate their concern and for that I would reconsider my prior review. I suppose it's possible it does depend on what the customer is looking for but for me I would have personally liked having an estimate of the part prior and more options on the type of alternator. For someone who is used to Toyota dealership though this place would likely give better service but again depends on your needs. Thank you for calling me back Mike and Rich! I decided to rate better than average due to customer service. They also charged battery for me to drive out so I appreciate that. Thank you!

I know Rich from another repair shop and was very sad when he changed locations.He was always honest and let me know what I need done and what could wait. So when my car need some major service I made the call to take my car down to the valley. It was worth the trip.I received great service from everyone there, and a very reasonable price.I will be making the trip down there more often.

I took my car in for oil change and change the brake fluid. Work was done in a timely manner. People at RM are very friendly.

Third time I've been in to RM Auto. This time with my son's 2005. Toyota Corolla XRS. The other times I've been in with my 2004 Honda Accord. Always great, friendly service at a fair price. Shuttle service is available if needed and much appreciated. I'll be back!

After reading a few reviews in my area, I was not too happy with what people had to say about them. I expanded my search a little outside of my general vicinity and I came across RM Automotive. From beginning to end I was very happy with the service I received from RM Automotive. Rich at the desk has excellent customer service skills. He answered all of my questions and then some. The service was quick and well done. I specifically asked Rich to have my car ready by a certain time because I needed it for work and they accommodated my request with no problems. The price is very competitive and beat out the dealer price by quite a large margin. However, I did not feel anything was sacrificed due to the lower price, in all honesty, I felt better treated than at my regular dealership. Rich made sure to use dealer recommended fluids in my car and when I asked him questions about unrelated (to the job bring done) parts of car he was very knowledgeable. All in all, I couldn't be happier and I recommend these guys/gals hands down. My mother lives a lot closer to their shop and she told me she would go to them for her next automotive need.
